Rear Admiral Peush Pawsey
Rear Admiral Peush Pawsey is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and was commissioned into Indian Navy on 01 Jan 1992.
A graduate of Defence Service Staff College, Wellington and Naval War College, Goa, he has varied exposure in command, ashore and afloat appointments. The Officer has the distinction of commanding three IN Survey Ships namely INS Sarvekshak, INS Darshak and INS Investigator and has undertaken numerous major foreign cooperation surveys at Seychelles, Mauritius, Tanzania and Sri-Lanka. The officer has had rich exposure to international affairs and has represented the country in several International Hydrographic Conferences. He has been an elected member/ represented India in GEBCO Guiding Committee, Advisory Board on the Law of the Sea (ABLOS), Worldwide Electronic Navigational Chart Database Working Group (WEND-WG), Hydrographic Services and Standards Committee (HSCC) which function under the aegis of the International Hydrographic Organisation. The officer was actively involved in the crucial Indo Bangladesh Maritime Boundary dispute and was member of the core team responsible for preparation of India’s stand and response. He has also been the Officer-in-Charge of Joint Training Team at National Defence Academy. As Commodore (H) - Chart Branch & Press, he has steered the International Hydrographic Organisation Affairs and International Affairs including bilateral ties with various countries on Hydrographic Cooperation. He took over as Joint Chief Hydrographer at National Hydrographic Office Dehradun on 01 Feb 24.
Rear Admiral Peush Pawsey is married to Mrs Anuradha Pawsey, a homemaker. They are blessed with two children Gauri Pawsey and Aditya Pawsey.
